Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on the 20th of August 1974 in Aviano Italy). American actress. She is known for her role as naive adorable characters. Adams was one of seven siblings that grew up as a young child in Castle Rock, Colorado. She was born while her father worked for the U.S. Military in Italy. She began dancing and acting professionally around the middle of the 1990s, with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and after that, at the Country Dinner Playhouse. Later in Minnesota, at a local theatre she was cast as a character in the mock documentary about beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous. When she made her screen debut as a cute but serious contestant, she relocated into Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She was married to Tony Curtis was her partner from June 1950 until September 1992. They had two kids, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Her film career started in the late 1940s when she was signed by MGM. The actress was noticed by Norma shearer. In the 1960s, Leigh starred in popular films such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
